Notice Regarding the Handling of Orders, etc.

The intensification of armed conflict in the Middle East is having an increasing impact on the crude oil and naphtha markets, as well as on international maritime transport. Consequently, we have received reports of force majeure declarations and reduced operating rates at some crackers in Asia--including Japan--that use naphtha as a feedstock, creating uncertainty regarding our future feedstock procurement.

　At present, we hold approximately two and a half months' worth of inventory for both raw materials and finished products, although the duration varies by product. However, given the uncertainty surrounding the future outlook for the Middle East conflict and international maritime transport, we are writing to inform you that, for the time being, we will handle orders for our products placed by our business partners as follows:

◆ Regarding automatic order acceptance and delivery date responses via EDI, as well as order acceptance and delivery date responses via fax or email, we cannot guarantee that the details of such orders (shipment quantities, delivery dates, etc.) will be fulfilled. These details are subject to change.

◆ If you place an order exceeding the planned order quantity that was previously communicated to our sales representative prior to early March, we may be unable to accept the excess quantity.

◆ Depending on the future supply situation of raw materials to our company, we may change order quantities or shipping dates, place orders on hold, cancel orders, or temporarily suspend order acceptance, including orders that have already been placed.
